Alexei Zaitsev, the founder of the amateur hockey club (HC) “Stalker”, which plays in the Night Hockey League, died at the age of 55. Information about this appeared at: Telegram– Team channel on January 11.
“Yesterday Alexey Vladimirovich Zaitsev passed away. Our dear friend, an excellent hockey player, president of the Stalker hockey team and our arena.”

In 2014, he founded the Stalker team, where he played as a forward. Already in the 2016/17 season, the club won gold medals in the Night Hockey League, a Russian amateur sports organization created on December 15, 2011 at the initiative of Vladimir Putin, as well as domestic hockey players. This victory brought Zaitsev’s team a donation of 100 million rubles. This money was used to build an ice arena in one of Moscow’s districts.
