Ecuadorian Marlon Vera, the fifth number of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) in the smallweight (up to 61 kg), talked about her unsuccessful fight against Russian fighter Petr Yan.
The duel could take place on August 13 in Boston.
“This fat man, Petr Yan, refused to fight because he ate pizza in Italy. He said he didn’t have time to gain weight and get ready. If I’m easy money, why don’t you throw your cut and kick my ass?” Vera said on Ariel Helwani’s YouTube podcast.
Recall that in April, Algemain Sterling defeated Jan by a split decision. It was the Russian who was considered the favorite in this duel. In the first round, the opponents chose “reconnaissance” tactics, and in the second and third rounds, the American took the initiative.
In the fourth and fifth rounds, Petr Yan seemed more preferable, but in the end the judges awarded the victory to Sterling.
Previously, Ultimate Fighting Championship’s fighter Sean O’Malley shared Opinion on the fight against the Russian Petr Yan.
