“He came to Vodorezova (married – Buyanova) with this injury, I know this because speaking from the first day. It’s not in the acute phase right now, but it’s very difficult and non-surgical skating is impossible. A week of good training – the leg flies. Of course you have to have surgery, I think so, doctors think so, because the doctors insist,” Tarasova said.
Kostornaya left Eteri Tutberidze’s coaching group for the second time, moving to CSKA to Elena Buyanova in March 2022. In her career, the skater won the European Championship, as well as the Grand Prix final of the 2019/20 season, the silver (2020) and twice bronze (2018, 2019) medal of the Russian championship.
