A secure Ethernet cable with a magnetic connector has been released in Japan.

In Japan they released a series of unusual Sanwa KB-SL6ABA Ethernet cables with a magnetic connector. The main feature of the new product is its detachable design, which prevents damage to network equipment. If the user accidentally touches the cable, the connector can be easily disconnected without damaging the LAN port of the device. This solution reduces the risk of damage to computers and network devices, making the cable especially useful in homes or offices with limited space.

The cables are CAT6a compliant and support data rates of up to 10 Gbps and a bandwidth of 500 MHz. In addition, the accessory features a soft braid for easy installation and protection against wrinkles. In Japan, models with lengths from 1 to 10 meters are available, with prices ranging from $27 (about 3,000 rubles) for a meter version to $42 (about 4,000) for a 10-meter version. At the moment there is no information about international deliveries.

The new development of Sanwa is an innovative solution to protect network equipment and simplify its use, while the principle of operation is similar to similar MagSafe technologies, but appears to be a cheaper analogue.
