The four-time Olympic champion in biathlon Alexander Tikhonov reacted sharply to the words of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Vadim Gutzeit. He said that in sports there should be no Belarusians and Russians.
“Gutzeit’s statement is a nationalism that should be exiled. Who is Ukraine, who told him who? It’s just illiterate leaders who need to be dispersed, that’s all. The days and months when the special operations will end are near, and after these explanations, I will see where he will find a job.
He’s just an illiterate idiot! Only those who declared a boycott can support it. And what?! We have already been excluded from all competitions. We ourselves must be more serious, more persistent and end with them, ”says Tikhonov Sports24.
Let us remind you that at the end of February, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) appealed to international sports federations and recommended that local and Belarusian athletes not be allowed to participate in any competitions.
