Cross-country Olympic champion Petter Northug said he was hit by a car while training on roller skis. TRNC.

According to the athlete, the incident occurred two weeks ago in the Norwegian municipality of Asker. Nortug collided with a car at 35 km/h. He went to the hospital right after the accident. The skier was diagnosed with a sprain.

“The car suddenly stopped, I flew over it and fell onto the pavement. One day after the examination, I lay in bed, then stood up. “I think my little guardian angel was with me at the time of the accident.”

Nortug is a two-time Olympic champion in skiing, a 13-time world champion, and a two-time overall World Cup champion. He ended his career in 2018.
