Dynamo legends beat Spartak in the match played in memory of Fedor Cherenkov.
The meeting ended with a score of 2:1. Spartak scored the first goal – Roman Pavlyuchenko scored in the 15th minute. While Dinamo equalized the score with the efforts of Alexander Sapeta in the 25th minute, Yuri Zhirkov brought the victory to the Blue and White legends in the 72nd minute.
The meeting took place on November 13 at the Lukoil Arena, the home stadium of the red-whites. The technical staff of Spartak legends was headed by Oleg Romantsev, and Valery Gazzaev and Yuri Semin played for Dynamo.
Cherenkov was born on July 25, 1959 in Moscow. He played 15 seasons at Spartak between 1978 and 1993, breaking the club record for the number of matches played (515 matches). As a member of the red and white team, he won the USSR Championship, Russian Championship and Russian Cup three times.
The movie “Fedya” was shot in memory of Fyodor Cherenkov. “People’s Footballer” was released in Russia on October 31, 2024.
