Last weekend, Professional Tennis Records presented the “2024 Spanish National Tennis Awards” in its different categories at the NH Las Tablas Hotel premises in Madrid. In the same action, and after 15 years of not awarding this award, the Registry has seen fit to reserve the special International Mastery Professional qualification, its highest award, for 29 national and international coaches. Since its founding more than 35 years ago, the Registry has already named nearly twenty great technicians, including Nick Bolletieri, Toni Nadal, Jack Gropel, Emilio and Arancha Sánchez Vicario and Juan Carlos Ferrero. After 15 years without a prize, our attention is drawn to the presence of four people from Alicante in this new grand prize “round” and all the directors of the Club Atlético Montemar Tennis Schools for more information. Thus, Chimo Pérez, Manuel Sandoval, Israel Sevilla and Iván Navarro were deemed worthy of this special award after 30 uninterrupted years at Montemarina. Undoubtedly another success for Montemar in one of his symbolic chapters, thus “placing” his four technicians in a special list of personalities who are original references in teaching tennis worldwide.
