Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti shared his views on the transfer of former Rubin player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to the Italian team.
“It has potential: it’s goal-oriented, it’s technical, it comes out of an unexpected situation. It gives you another option. All this was just noticed and we knew it,” Spalletti quotes TuttoNaples.
In March, Kvaratskhelia, the football player of Kazan “Rubin”, went to the location of the Georgian national team for a training camp and did not return. Later, Rubin announced the suspension of the contract with the midfielder. Currently, he played for Dinamo Batumi and scored eight goals in the Georgian championship.
Kvaratskhelia’s contract with Rubin was calculated until 2024. Last season, he played in 22 games, 2 goals and 5 assists.
The Georgian winger will play for Napoli from the start of the 2022/23 season. He scored four times in friendlies for the Italian club.
Former coach of Russian national team Fabio Capello Khvich talked about Kvaratskelia and compared him to Liverpool attack leader Mohamed Sallah.
