Microsoft has announced a major update to the Xbox app for Windows, designed to improve the user experience on the platform. The updated interface, which is already being tested, promises to become more convenient and informative.
The new home screen contains curated collections with discounts and personalized recommendations, as well as information about the latest releases and important news from the gaming world. Additionally, players can quickly find content in the store and the Game Pass subscription service.
An interesting new feature is the compact mode, which will optimize the interface for portable gaming devices such as Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go. In this mode, the sidebar collapses, giving users more space to view content.
The update also includes a new section for quick access to recent games, the ability to show only unread notifications, and an improved game services recovery tool. Additionally, users who add games to their wishlist will receive notifications about free game days.
The updated interface is already available to test participants and a global release is expected soon.
