Former Spartak Moscow football player Valery Gladilin told socialbites.ca that Togliatti’s Akron will play against Zenit St. Petersburg in the Russian Premier League (RPL) match. He said it would be basically good for him to play against St. Petersburg.
“Will this match be important for Dziuba? I don’t know about Dzyuba, but it will be important for Akron to play well against Zenit. I think Zenit is determined to achieve a certain result. Akron performed well at this stage of the championship. Dzyuba does not determine the outcome, Akron plays well and is active. But the favorite is Zenit,” said Gladilin.
Zenit is in third place with 26 points. Akron is in eighth place with 12 points.
Dzyuba signed a contract with Akron as a free agent on the last day of the transfer window in Russia. The experienced forward played for Lokomotiv Moscow last season. The 36-year-old forward made his debut for Akron against Khimki (3:0) and made an assist in the Russian Premier League championship match near Moscow.
In total, Dzyuba scored one goal and three assists.
Previously Dzyuba statedthat he left Spartak because of his salary.
