Russian New York Rangers forward Artemy Panarin, in his interview with the “Babushkina’s Respirator” YouTube channel, noted that the USA treated Russian representatives normally and that he missed his country.
“After almost 10 years, I miss Russia so much that I constantly try to find the cons of everything. This makes life difficult for me because you are in a negative situation right now. Maybe this isn’t entirely true. With this whole situation in general, it is not easy to be in the minority. But hockey saves us,” Panarin said.
The hockey player has been playing in the USA since 2015.
Panarin has been defending the Rangers colors since 2019. In the last NHL regular season, the Russian scored 120 points, scoring 49 goals and making 71 assists. Panarin scored five goals and 10 assists in 16 games in the playoffs.
In the first round of the 2023/24 season play-offs, the Rangers played against Alexander Ovechkin’s Washington Capitals, with Panarin and goaltender Igor Shesterkin in the squad. The Caps could not win a single game and lost the series with a score of 0-4. Ovechkin could not score in these matches.
In the first game of the new NHL season, the Rangers will play against Pittsburgh. The match will be played on October 10.
Previously Panarin named Irresponsible interview in which he criticized the Russian government.
