Former Manchester United midfielder Andrei Kanchelskis has revealed that he thinks Russia will be allowed to enter international competition.

“In six years, the national team and Russian clubs will again play in Europe. At least two halves must pass: World Championship and European Championship and European Cups. Time must pass, so, ironically, we won’t be going back anywhere until at least 2028. Six years is our era,” Kanchelskis quotes “RB Sports”.

Recall that at the end of February, the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Association of European Football Associations (UEFA) suspended the participation of Russian clubs and teams in international competitions under the auspices of the organizations.

On May 2, he learned about UEFA’s decision to exclude the Russian national team from the League of Nations and Russian clubs from the Champions League and Europa League in the 2022/23 season.

Sergey Borodkin, former president of the Crimean Football Union (CFU) saidUEFA’s characterization of the peninsula image with the jersey of the Ukrainian national team as a technical error.
