During the indefinite suspension of the country from international competitions, athletes from Russia were not left without international tournaments. From July 22 to July 24, the rhythmic gymnastics tournament “Crystal Rose” was held in Minsk, which was held according to the rules of the International Gymnastics Federation. The stars of the Russian national team participated in the competition – sisters Dina and Arina Averina, Lala Kramarenko, as well as Belarusian athletes, who were banned from performing at the international level due to sanctions.
Belarusian gymnast Margarita Timoshenko played with balls, but during the performance of the elements, the athlete fell ill – the girl lost consciousness, remained on the floor, and also bled from her nose. Representatives of the medical staff were immediately sent to her, who provided the gymnast with the necessary assistance and quickly pulled her out of the carpet.
Later, the Belarusian Gymnastics Association reported that everything was fine with the athlete, he came to his senses.
“He lost consciousness against the background of stress and high humidity, his pressure skyrocketed. “It’s fine now,” said the Belarusian association.
The stars of the Russian national team Dina and Arina Averina also suffered at the tournament. Even before the start of the competitions, Dina unsuccessfully bent her leg on the floor, even the gymnast cried from pain. On the carpet, the athlete was given first aid, after which the gymnast went to talk with the doctor and trainer Yulia Barsukova. Then the gymnast returned to the floor, but did all the exercises very carefully. Averina has already done all four subjects with an injury and has worked with ice attached to her ankle in some elements.
Already during the finals with individual items, Arina Averina suffered. He did exercises with clubs, and during one of the elements, the bullet girl hit her forehead, which caused a rash and a lump.
In general, the exercise with clubs was not very successful for the Russian gymnast – there was a loss: the object slipped from the hands of Arina, who did not immediately notice; He struggled several times to recover his belongings and eventually lost points due to the indentation. But in the end, the athlete managed to win a bronze medal in the balls.
At the tournament in Minsk, the Averina brothers did not show the best form: both gymnasts were able to reach only two finals, and each of them was able to get a medal – bronze. In exercises with sticks, Arina rose to the podium, but with the hoop she was only sixth – the exercise as a whole looked rather difficult and was seasoned with a number of mistakes: two losses, a bad catch of the object and an unsuccessful turn. Dina received a bronze medal in exercises with the ball – minor mistakes, such as catching the object with her wrists, not her hands, disappointed her and did not allow her to fight for higher places. But the silver medalist of the Tokyo Games could not cope with the ribbon, although this particular issue was very important to her after the Olympics – the drawing was wrong, the rotations and fouettes were made with errors, and in the end, the gymnast grossed out. the mistake is not catching the ribbon and ending the performance early. As a result – in fourth place.
The best of the Russians was Lala Kramarenko, but she also made some mistakes. She won individual all-around silver, won clubs and ribbon finals, won silver in the hoop.
But in exercises with the ball Kramarenko lost the surprising object – the gymnast has shown very stable results recently and can rightly be called the leader of the team. At the same time, two Belarusian athletes Anastasia Salos (gold with a hoop, silver with a ball and a ribbon) and Alina Gornosko, who was third all-around at the 2020 Olympics, showed themselves perfectly, winning the gold medal. With a ball, Minsk received silver on the ball and bronze on the hoop.
