It became known how SKA changed with the arrival of Kuznetsov and Zaitsev 11:52

Commentator Philip Maykov, a participant of the popular podcast “Slippery Ice”, in his commentary for socialbites.ca spoke about the changes in St. Petersburg SKA, which signed contracts with star forwards and defenders Evgeny Kuznetsov and Nikita Zaitsev before the new season.

“SKA Kuznetsov, in principle, has one of the strongest squads in general, but so far none of these big guys who came can make much progress. And SKA started very similarly, because Kuznetsov – not yet. Zaitsev is not there either. The results here were mostly achieved by those who were already there: Gritsyuk, Rendulic, Serebryakov in goal. In my opinion, they did not become stronger in essence, not in taste,” Maykov said.

At the start of the regular season in the Kontinental Hockey League, SKA is in seventh place in the Western Conference, having collected five points after five matches. Kuznetsov has 2 (1+1) points with zero points and six penalty minutes in five matches. Zaitsev has not collected a single point in five matches, having won -2 and leading the team in penalty minutes -9.

Ovechkin before named A former hockey player who will be invited to play for Washington.
