CSKA veteran Vladimir Ponomarev called the decision of the army team to remove goalkeeper Ilya Pomazun from training stupid. His words give guidance “Match TV”.
“What stupidity. And what did Pomazun say? He’s already 28 years old, why should he sit on the bench? Your career will soon decline. Maybe he didn’t speak very well, but CSKA leaders are wrong,” said Pomazun.
On September 13, CSKA Moscow suspended goalkeeper Ilya Pomazun from training with the main team, who expressed in an interview that he was ready to move to the capital’s Spartak team.
Pomazun is a CSKA graduate. The goalkeeper made his debut for the main team in the match against Rubin on August 6, 2017. In total, he has four matches for the army team. Since 2020, he has been regularly loaned to Ural.
Pomazun played 29 matches for the Yekaterinburg team in the completed 2023/24 season. In the 2024/25 season, Pomazun will not start for CSKA: the team’s main goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev and Vladislav Torop are on the field in the Russian Cup matches.
