The final specifications of the new Intel Arrow Lake-S desktop processors have been revealed, promising up to 24 cores and a maximum frequency of 5.7GHz. The information comes from the Benchlife portal, which claims that these are the final data. The new products are expected to be announced on October 10, with the official launch on October 24.
Five overclockable processor models will be presented in October. The flagship Core Ultra 9 285K model offers 36 MB of L3 cache and 40 MB of L2 cache, and the peak power consumption will reach 250 W. The processor supports Thermal Velocity Boost technology, which automatically increases the frequency when certain temperature conditions are reached. The Core Ultra 9 285K model, unlike younger models, will not get a version without integrated graphics.
The average Core Ultra 7 265K model will feature 8 productive and 12 energy-efficient cores. It will be able to accelerate up to 5.5 GHz, while the L3 cache will be 30 MB, and L2 – 36 MB. The energy consumption will also reach 250 W.
Core Ultra 5 245K and 245KF offer a more modest configuration with 6 P-cores and 8 E-cores, with a 24 MB L3 cache and 20 MB L2 cache. These processors can automatically overclock to 5.2 GHz and their power consumption will be limited to 159 W.
In addition, Intel is preparing motherboards with the new Z890 chipset, which will support standard and extreme processor modes. However, models without overclocking capabilities and cheaper boards will not appear until January 2025.
