CSKA Moscow midfielder Danil Krugovoy, speaking about the team’s upcoming match against St. Petersburg Zenit, said he has no intention of taking revenge on his former club. His words are instructive “RB Sports”.
“Of course I will do my best to win, I want to beat my old team. I did not leave very well. There will be a lot of excitement, a lot of fans will come, I want a full hall. Do you want revenge? Not exactly. “I have been with CSKA for two months, I am happy,” said Krugovoy.
CSKA and Zenit will play in the eighth round of the Russian Championship. The match will be played in Moscow on September 14 and the kick-off will be at 16:30 Moscow time.
The 26-year-old defender previously played for Zenit’s youth teams and the main blue-white-blue team, but joined CSKA as a free agent in the summer of 2024.
Krugovoy signed a contract with the army team until the end of his contract with Zenit in the middle of the 2023/24 season. For this, the blue-white-blue management sent him to Zenit-2. The defender had to play in the country’s third strongest league and did not have experience of playing in the Russian Premier League for six months.
Krugovoy has played in nine matches for the army team this season, scoring one goal and two assists. Krugovoy’s contract with CSKA runs until the summer of 2028.
