Former Moscow Spartak football player Valery Gladilin, in a conversation with socialbites.ca, commented on the information of Italian journalist Nicola Skira, who claimed that a club from Russia was interested in Turin Juventus football player Filip Kostic, but the Serb refused the transfer.
“Is it worth waiting for star players in the Russian Championship now? Well, why not? The conditions of the leading RPL teams are good. Sooner or later all the confusion will end, we will play in European cups. Why not go to the leading clubs in Russia that can pay well? This is real,” Gladilin said.
Kostic has been playing for Juventus since 2022. As part of the Italian club, he won the Italian Cup in the 2023/24 season.
In the spring of 2022, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), following the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee, decided to suspend the participation of the Russian national team and all Russian clubs in all competitions under the control of these organizations. The Russians missed the play-offs for the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 European Championship in Germany.
Previously a graduate of CSKA Moscow compared Championships in Russia and Vietnam.
