Metallurg Magnitogorsk head coach Andrei Razin led the team off the field in the pre-season tournament against Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. At the end of the match they suffered a technical defeat. This was reported by the official Club’s Telegram channel.

“We suffered a technical defeat, but the result is not important. What is important is that we are one team. Until the end,” said the club’s press service.

In the third period, Neftekhimik’s defender Roman Abrosimov made a powerful move against Metallurg’s forward Daniil Vovchenko, after which Daniil Vovchenko was taken away on a stretcher.

Razin stated that he did not agree with the decision of the referees who did not see the violation and took the team off the field.

The current champions of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) are Metallurg Magnitogorsk. In the final, they won a landslide victory over Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the KHL play-off finals Gagarin Cup. Metallurg won four games in a row and closed the final series with a score of 4-0.
