Russian gymnast Angelina Melnikova shared a new photo on her Instagram page (the owner of the Meta company is recognized as an extremist in Russia and is banned).
The athlete published a photo from a beauty salon, where she poses in a black blouse with an original cut on the chest.
Melnikova won an Olympic gold medal in the team competition in Tokyo and also won bronze medals in the individual all-around and floor exercise. At the 2016 Games, the gymnast won a silver medal in the team championship.
At the 2021 World Championships, Melnikova won the gold medal in the all-around. She also has three silver and three bronze medals at world championships. The Russian athlete is a three-time European champion and a two-time European Games champion.
In 2022, the president of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, suggested that international federations ban Russian athletes from international competitions. In July, the International Gymnastics Federation announced that athletes from Russia and Belarus would be allowed to compete under the auspices of the organization as neutrals from January 1, 2024.
