Russian swimmer Anna Egorova showed a photo from her vacation on her Instagram page (the owner of the Meta company is recognized as an extremist in Russia and is banned).
In the shot, the athlete poses in a swimsuit while lying on a sun lounger.
Egorova won three bronze and two silver awards at the European Championships. The swimmer has been competing for the Russian national team since 2017.
At the European Championships in Budapest in May 2021, a Russian swimmer won a bronze medal in the 4 x 200-meter freestyle as part of the mixed relay team. Egorova also won a bronze medal in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 8:26.56. In the 400-meter freestyle, the athlete won a silver medal.
In November 2023, Egorova won the 200-meter freestyle at the Russian Championships.
The International Swimming Federation (FINA) banned Russian and Belarusian swimmers from competing under its auspices, even under neutral flags, in March 2022. Only one Russian competed in swimming at the 2024 Olympics – Evgeny Somov.
