Famous North American agent Dan Milstein, who has worked with many players from Russia, spoke about the future of one of his clients, Nashville Predators goalkeeper Yaroslav Askarov.
“A possible return of Yaroslav to SKA or another club in the Kontinental Hockey League? I do not answer provocative questions,” Milstein said. ODDS.ru.
Earlier, American insider Kevin Weeks said that Askarov’s entourage informed Nashville that the Russian would not arrive at the location of the Predators’ farm club, the Milwaukee Admirals, and demanded that he be exchanged for another NHL club.
Askarov, 22, was selected in the first round, eleventh overall, by Nashville in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The hockey player moved abroad two years ago, but in two seasons with the Predators in the world’s strongest league, he played only three games, playing mostly for the farm club.
The Predators relied on a goaltending team of Juuse Saros and Kevin Lankinen last season. The American’s contract expired this summer, but veteran Scott Wedgwood was signed to replace Saros.
