Former Russian national team player Andrei Arshavin said that he did not expect harsh criticism of the refereeing of Orenburg sports director Dmitry Andreev after the match with Rostov in the Russian Premier League (RPL). The words of the former football player are quoted “Match TV”.
“I even had to call Dmitry Stepanovich to find out why this was said so loudly. Of course, I did not expect this from him, but I would probably say worse things in a closed place,” Arshavin said.
The match, which took place at the Rostov Arena stadium, ended with a score of 3:2 for Rostov. Immediately after the match, the sports director of the Orenburg club tried to influence the referees: he held the hand of the reserve referee Ivan Sidenkov and did not allow the referee team to leave the field.
At this meeting after the match, Andreev harshly criticized the work of the refereeing team. The main referee was Vladislav Bezborodov.
Previously the RFU intend to punish Sports director of Orenburg.
