Gymnast Averina posted a new beach photo 19.08.2024, 23:53

Russian gymnast Dina Averina, who is on vacation in the Maldives with her sister Arina, published a new post on her Instagram page (the owner of the Meta company is recognized as an extremist in Russia and is banned).

The athlete showed images of herself in a swimsuit on the shore of one of the beaches, holding a bicycle in her hand.

Sisters Arina and Dina Averina announced the end of their professional careers on February 23, 2024. Dina Averina broke the 20-year streak of Russian gymnasts winning the individual all-around by winning the silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Arina Averina remained without a medal, finishing fourth in the final protocol.

A few months ago, Dina and Arina became aunts. Their sister Polina gave birth to a baby girl.

On March 4, 2022, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) decided to ban Russians and Belarusians from participating in competitions under its auspices starting March 7 due to the situation in Ukraine. From January 1, 2024, the restrictions ended, but Russian gymnasts continue to perform only in the domestic arena.

Previously, Russian gymnast brag bikini bottoms on the beach.
