17-year-old Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva advanced to the semifinals of the WTA-250 series tournament held in Iasi, Romania.

In the quarterfinals, the Russian athlete defeated Croatian representative Leja Boskovic. The match, which lasted 1 hour and 9 minutes, ended in two sets with the scores of 6:2 and 6:0.

On March 6, the International Tennis Federation announced that it had decided to allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in France under neutral status. Andreeva was accepted to the Olympics and will play in Paris.
