A large number of foreign players in CSKA are of no use to the team. This opinion was expressed in the comments made to socialbites.ca by former red-blue player Valery Masalitin.
“CSKA has added new players to its roster, and who will sit on the bench? Kelven or Gayich? Will Mendes sit? The reason for this will be the acquisition of Zhemaletdinov – and where will we put him? Now Davila will be back. Okay, if the foreign players were leaders, if they were half a head taller than the others and if they helped the club. But why are they needed? They are really passengers.
But there are youngsters who need to grow up and go out – the same Glebov. And the 15-20 minutes that Davila comes out to play should be given to Glebov. There is Kislyak, then Mukhin will recover – but there is no place for him. So we need to remove Zdelar. And again we are talking about foreigners – why are they needed? They will bring 5 percent of the benefit per season, but neither the club nor the young players are developing,” he said.
At the end of last season, CSKA was in 6th place in the Russian Premier League standings. The red-blues had 12 wins, the same number of draws and 6 losses.
At the beginning of July, CSKA played two friendly matches against Serbian clubs OFK and Partizan, winning both matches with an aggregate score of 7:0.
Previously Masalitin in the name Sobolev will be Spartak’s leader on and off the field.
