Dmitry Kuznetsov, coach of the 2DROTS football team, former football player of CSKA Moscow and the USSR national team, attacked Telegram channel “Media Arena” Yuri Mnatsakanov during the match against Amkal in Nizhny Novgorod.
Kuznetsov knocked the phone out of the journalist’s hand, kicked him and was then stopped. Assistant coach Albert Oskolkov also participated in the attack. Mnatsakanov said that Oskolkov apologized after the incident, but Kuznetsov did not.
“However, there was no apology from Kuznetsov. Instead, I saw two interviews in which he did not admit guilt and spread misinformation. For example, the head coach of 2DROTS says that I do not have permission to film him,” the journalist wrote.
Mnatsakanov also stated that since the expert did not admit his guilt, he decided to write a statement to law enforcement authorities.
2DROTS and Amkal faced each other in the Media Football League quarter-final rematch. The first match ended with 2DROTS winning 2:1. Amkal won the rematch with the same score. Everything was decided in a penalty shootout where 2DROTS was stronger (4:3).
