Russian tennis players will have to sign a declaration of neutrality to participate in Wimbledon. This was reported by TASS regarding the press service of the tournament.

“Tennis players from Russia and Belarus were required to sign a declaration of neutrality in order to participate in the tournament in 2023. The same agreements apply this year, the tournament’s press service said.

Wimbledon will take place between July 1-15.

In December 2023, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) allowed Russia and Belarus to participate in the 2024 Olympics with neutral status. The 2024 Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.

On March 6, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced that it has decided to allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to compete in neutral status at the 2024 Summer Olympics in France. Russians and Belarusians will be able to compete in the 2024 Olympics if they comply with the neutral athlete principles previously formulated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
