Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov reached the second round of the French Open 2024 (Roland Garros) by beating Indian representative Sumit Nagal at the start of the tournament.

The match, which lasted 3 hours and 48 minutes, ended in three sets with 6:2, 6:0, 7:6 (7:5). Khachanov is ranked 18th in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings, while his opponent is ranked 95th.
