In the third game of the 2024 Stanley Cup play-off semifinal series, the New York Rangers were stronger than the Florida Panthers.
The match, which took place in Sunrise at the Amerant Bank Arena stadium with the participation of 19,780 spectators, ended with the guest team winning with a score of 5:4 in extra time.
Alexi Lafreniere and Barkley Goodrow scored on doubles for the winners. Sam Rinehart scored two goals for the losing team, while Alexander Barkov and Gustav Forsling also scored one goal each. Rangers forward Alexander Wennberg scored the decisive goal.
While the Russian goalkeeper of the winning team, Igor Shesterkin, stopped 34 shots in the match, striker Artemy Panarin could not get any points for his performance and finished the match with a benefit score of “+2”. While Florida goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky made 18 saves, forward Vladimir Tarasenko remained scoreless and finished the match with a benefit score of -1.
The fourth match of the series will be played on May 29 in Sunrise, and the opening match will be held at 03:00 Moscow time.
