CSKA Moscow’s head doctor Eduard Bezuglov said that the RPL Russian Cup final will be held in St. Petersburg. He talked about the situation of 20-year-old goalkeeper Vladislav Torop, who was seriously injured in the rematch against St. Petersburg Zenit. His words lead the way “Match TV”.
“If his condition is stable in the morning, he will be transferred to Moscow and a decision regarding his treatment will be made there. Transporting it (to Moscow) by plane is impossible, out of the question. <...> Everything will be fine, we will find the best specialists and restore everything. Most likely there will be an operation. “It is very likely,” Bezuglov said.
The football player was seriously injured in the return match of the Russian Cup RPL Road final. In the 36th minute of the match, the goalkeeper collided with opponent player Nuraly Alip in his own penalty area. Unable to continue the fight, Torop was taken off the field with an electric vehicle and then taken to the hospital.
19-year-old Vladimir Shaikhutdinov took the field instead of Torop. The main minute of the match ended with a score of 0:0, and in the penalty shootout Zenit was stronger – 5:4. Anton Zabolotny could not convert the only penalty awarded to the army club.
Thus, CSKA was left without a trophy this season and could not retain its title of Russian Cup champion, which it won last year. Zenit will compete for the cup with Kaliningrad Baltika, who defeated Spartak Moscow in the Road of Regions final.
Previously became famous Torop’s definitive diagnosis.
