Spartak Moscow midfielder Roman Zobnin was the first of the red-white players to react to the resignation of coach Guillermo Abascal on their social networks.
“Thank you, coach, for your teamwork and trust,” Zobnin told Abaskal.
On April 14, Spartak announced that Spaniard Guillermo Abascal was dismissed as the team’s head coach. He has been managing the Moscow club since the beginning of the 2022/23 season. Last season, under his leadership, the red-whites finished third in the Russian Championship.
Vladimir Slishkovich, who previously worked in Abascal’s technical staff, will serve as deputy in the Russian Cup match against Zenit.
