Al-Nasr’s striker Cristiano Ronaldo spoke on his social networks for the first time about his scandalous dismissal in the semi-final match of the Saudi Arabian Super Cup with Al-Hilal (1:2).
“Love and gratitude are the ideal approach to life,” Ronaldo wrote.
In the 86th minute of the match, Ronaldo hit his opponent with his elbow and therefore received a red card. The Portuguese then threw away the captain’s armband and waved it at the referee. The player applauded the referee as he left the field and encouraged the fans to do the same.
Al-Hilal won with a score of 2:1. Among the winners, Salem Al-Dawsari and Malkom scored with accurate shots. Sadio Mane scored Al-Nasr’s goal.
In the final match, Al-Hilal will face Al-Ittihad.
On January 2, 2023, Ronaldo became a player for Al-Nasr from Saudi Arabia under a contract for which he received €200 million annually. It was reported that additional bonuses were given to the Portuguese and his family.
In the next championship match, Saudi Arabia will play against Al Feiha. The match will be played on April 19.
Previously coach of Al-Nasr explained Ronaldo’s scandalous dismissal.
