Russian wrestler Sadulaev said that he was not allowed to participate in the licensed Olympic tournament 04/05/2024, 23:12

Abdulrashid Sadulayev, a two-time Olympic champion in freestyle who was not allowed to participate in the licensed Olympic tournament, said he has not lost hope of going to the Games Wrestdag.ru.

“I will not give up, I will still fight. I do not lose hope that common sense will prevail and the third Olympics is not lost for me yet. “These days, I feel the support of not only Russians, but also wrestling fans more than ever,” Sadulayev said.

27-year-old Sadulaev is the winner of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. He is also a four-time European champion, five-time world champion and World Cup champion.

To qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris, Russian athletes will have to sign updated conditions of participation that include a commitment to respect the Olympic Charter, including the “peaceful mission of the Olympic movement,” the IOC said. Some of the Russian sports federations (gymnasts, rowers) have already refused to go to the Games.

Previously Dmitry Svishchev blamed the IOC is against human rights.
