Dmitry Svishchev, chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports, accused International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach of provocation. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.

“This statement by Bach cannot be called anything other than a provocation. He will call on Ukrainian athletes to report the statements made by Russian athletes to exclude them from the Olympics. This kind of thing is unacceptable. This is a provocation not only for Russian athletes but also for Ukrainian athletes. Is this really the president’s level? Of course not. Intelligence services can do this, but certainly not the IOC president,” Svishchev said.

Bach admitted that in a meeting with pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov (Vovan) and Alexey Stolyarov (Lexus), he asked Ukrainians to watch the testimonies of Russian athletes on the Internet.

To qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris, Russian athletes will have to sign updated conditions of participation that include a commitment to respect the Olympic Charter, including the “peaceful mission of the Olympic movement,” the IOC said. Some of the Russian sports federations (gymnasts, rowers) have already refused to go to the Games.

Previously Bach it’s called a scoundrelwho is ready to burn everything in his path for the sake of money.
