Yaroslavl Lokomotiv’s head coach Igor Nikitin talked about defeating Omsk Avangard and reaching the semi-finals of the Gagarin Cup and compared his team to a wheelbarrow. His words were reported by the press service of the Yaroslavl club.
“We must trust our opponent. The “vanguard” made us prostrate. We were not moving badly, we did not understand what was happening around us. Everyone wrote about us as an “armored train”. But it turned out to be some kind of tram. It’s good that they started the fire,” said Nikitin.
The seventh match of the quarter-final series ended with Lokomotiv’s score of 2-0. After this match, the score in the series was 4:3 in favor of the Yaroslavl team.
