Polish defender Rubin Maciej Rybus talked about hateful messages due to the match in the Russian championship. His words are quoted sports.tvp.pl.
“I received various messages. They wrote that I was sold and should be drafted into the Russian army. They told me to go away and never return to Poland. That I was a rag, a traitor. It hurt, but I knew I could deal with it. I have a Russian wife, two sons, real estate and my life There is. In Russia I became a real man, started a family, earned money and secured my future,” said Rybus.
Rybus moved to Russia in 2012. He played for Terek Grozny for four seasons. Then the Polish played for the French club Lyon and returned to Russia again. Rybus played more than 100 matches for Lokomotiv Moscow. Together with the team he became the champion of Russia and won the country’s cup twice. In 2022, Pole moved to Spartak. Rybus has been defending the colors of Rubin Kazan since 2023. His contract is for one year.
