The Ukrainian national team and Genoa football player commented on Atalanta’s official account on social networks and described the club’s reaction to the goal scored by Alexey Miranchuk in the Russian national team jersey as a disgrace.

Malinovsky wrote “Vergoonatevi”, which means “shame” in Italian, under Atalanta’s post about the goal scored by Miranchuk in the friendly match against Serbia.

On March 21, the Russian team defeated the Serbian team with a score of 4:0. Anton Miranchuk (from the penalty spot) and Maxim Osipenko scored in the first half. In the 21st minute, the Turkish referee sent CSKA Moscow’s defender Milan Gaich off the game. Alexey Miranchuk and Ivan Sergeev scored another goal each in the second half.

Miranchuk transferred from Lokomotiv Moscow to Italian Atalanta in September 2020. His contract with the Bergamo club expires in June 2025. Miranchuk played 27 matches for the team in all competitions this season, scoring 3 goals and making 10 assists. In Serie A, the team leader in the goal+pass system is Ten Kopmijners (10+3).
