Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenko spoke for the first time about the death of her ex-lover, former hockey player and coach of Salavat Yulaev, Konstantin Koltsov.
“The loss of Kostya is an unimaginable tragedy and although our relationship ended a long time ago, I am heartbroken. Please respect my privacy and that of her family at this difficult moment,” Sabalenka wrote on social networks.
Suddenly, on March 19, in the 43rd year of life dead Koltsov, former forward of the Belarusian national hockey team.
As the media wrote, the tragedy occurred during the athlete’s trip to Miami.
In the Kontinental Hockey League, Koltsov worked with Salavat Yulaev, as well as in the technical staff of Dynamo Minsk and Spartak Moscow. He was also the head coach of Belarusian clubs Brest and Dynamo, which played in the Belarusian championship.
As part of Salavat Yulaev, Koltsov won the Gagarin Cup in 2011 and became the winner of the last Russian Championship in 2008. He has been on Viktor Kozlov’s coaching staff at Salavat since 2022.
