Former Brazil international Dani Alves remains in prison despite a Barcelona court agreeing to release the Brazilian on €1 million bail Football Spain.
The player’s bail has not been paid yet. He will need to remain in custody for at least another 24 hours. He cannot pay 1 million euros. The investigation revealed that the football player was miserable.
On February 22, 2024, former Brazil and Barcelona defender Dani Alves was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for rape. In January 2023, the football player was taken into custody after one of the women contacted the police and stated that the football player put his hand under her underwear in a nightclub in Barcelona on December 30.
Alves’ last club, Mexican Pumas, terminated the contract of the world’s most titled football player. Additionally, the wife of the former Barcelona football player announced that she left the defender after the incident.
As part of the Brazilian national team, Dani Alves won the Copa America twice and the Confederations Cup twice.
