Analytical Internet portal Cies Football Observatory has published a rating of the most expensive football players in the Russian Premier League (RPL). Spartak’s Costa Rican forward Manfred Ugalde was at the top of the list.

The striker moved to Spartak in January 2024 for €13 million + €2 million bonus. Portal estimated his value at 24.8 million Euros. The striker made his debut for the Red-Whites in a match against Rostov in an off-season tournament. The Costa Rican scored in the match against Shabab Al Ahly. Ugalde made his RPL debut in the match against Zenit on 2 March. The striker has two matches in the Russian championship with zero results.

In second place in this ranking was Zenit’s forward Mateo Cassierra (23.1 million euros). The Colombian player played 18 matches in the RPL this season and scored 15+1. He is the top scorer of the tournament.

The three most expensive players of the Russian championship are closed by Eduard Spertsyan from Krasnodar (21.8 million euros). The Armenian striker played 19 matches in the RPL (8+2).

The five most expensive RPL players also included Nikita Krivtsov (Krasnodar, €19.2 million) and Claudinho (Zenit, €19.1 million).
