Russian director Oleg Fomin, in a conversation with socialbites.ca, called the late journalist and TV commentator Vasily Utkin a wonderful and sincere person. According to him, during the filming of the film, Utkin did “what he wanted” and the director only corrected him.

“(He was) a sincere, vulnerable, wonderful person. Great (they were working together), he came up to me and said: “Actually, I’m not an artist.” And I say: “Very good, now play as if you are talking to me.” We agreed on the shore: he does what he wants – I just fix it if something does not suit me. I was pleased with almost everything, so the job was great. “It’s a shame,” he said.

Sports correspondent Ivan Karpov reported that Vasily Utkin died on March 19. Utkin was 52 years old.
According to Baza Telegram channel, Utkin was urgently taken to the cardiology department of Pirogov Hospital in Moscow in the afternoon. Doctors diagnosed him with acute vascular insufficiency. The football specialist was put on a ventilator but attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. The first cause of death is pulmonary embolism.
