Russian hockey player admits that he cannot afford to go to a cafe in the USA

Lokomotiv’s forward Ivan Chekhovich, who previously played for San Jose Barracuda in the American Hockey League (AHL), talked about his life in the USA. His words are quoted Metatations.

“California was great. Expensive? Expensive, not enough money, but great. We couldn’t go to the cafe again. I mostly ate at home, and that’s probably where I learned to cook,” Chekhovich said.

Chekhović started his professional career at Dynamo Moscow. He later played in HC MVD. The Russian forward moved to Canada in 2016 and played for the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, then the San Jose Barracuda and San Jose Sharks. The Russian forward played a total of four games in the National Hockey League and made one assist.

Chekhovich has been defending the colors of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl since 2022. In the current season of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), the forward played 59 games (4+7). He played four more games in the playoffs (one goal).
