Spartak Moscow midfielder Anton Zinkovsky responded to the words of Andrei Arshavin, who said that he could fight for a place in Zenit’s starting 11. His words are quoted “Match TV”.

“Do I like Arshavin’s words? Yes, they are very nice. Aren’t such words flattering? Not exactly. In any case, you need to work. Is this a fair assessment of the opportunity? Everyone has the right to evaluate, everyone can evaluate us and say what they think. Andrey Sergeevich thinks so, thank him for that. I hope I can meet his expectations in my career and the way I play football,” Zinkovsky said.

Zinkovsky passed through the football schools of Chernomorets, Chertanovo and Kuban. From 2014 to 2019 the midfielder played for the main team of Chertanovo. Zinkovsky played on loan in Zenit’s second team in 2016. In 2022, he became a Spartak player and moved from Krylia Sovetov to the Moscow team.

Zinkovsky played 19 matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL) this season and scored two goals. In the Russian Cup, they won 2+2 in eight matches.
