Six-time Stanley Cup champion Mark Messier says Russian New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin makes the players around him better. His words guide the way official site National Hockey League (NHL).

“He’s a good scorer. A lot of players are good playmakers and bring people together, but Panarin can score goals. I even think sometimes he can be more selfish and focus more on his own scoring goals. But he’s a world-class talent,” Messier said.

On March 5, in the NHL’s regular season game against the Florida Panthers, Panarin made his 50th assist of the season. The hockey player achieved this mark for the third consecutive time in the National Hockey League. The striker became the third hockey player in the club’s history to achieve this feat. Before him, Wayne Gretzky (from the 1996/97 season to the 1998/99 season) and Messier (1991/92-1993/94) had achieved this.

Panarin has been playing for the Rangers since 2019. The 32-year-old Russian player scored 88 (36+52) points in 66 matches in the 2023/24 season.
