Real Sociedad’s Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan addressed the fans in Spanish after his first goal against Cadiz in the 29th round of the Spanish Championship (2:0). The relevant video was published by the team’s press service.

“Thanks for the support. I’m very happy for the win and the great goal. Go ahead Real Madrid,” Zakharyan said after the match.

The football player scored the goal in the 68th minute with a pass from Bryce Mendez, two minutes after entering the game as a substitute player.

On 19 August 2023, Real Sociedad announced the transfer of Zakharyan from Dinamo Moscow. His contract with the team runs until June 2029. Zakharyan made his debut for Real Sociedad in the 75th minute of the match against Las Palmas on 25 August.

On February 23, Zakharyan unsuccessfully collided with his opponent in the Spanish championship match, causing damage to his right hand. The player, who could not dress on his own immediately after the match, but later revealed that his injury was not serious, recovered quickly, but missed the second leg of the Champions League 1/8 final with PSG (1) :2).

Real Sociedad, which won the 29th round of the Spanish championship table, is in sixth place with 46 points, while Cadiz is in the 18th place, in the relegation zone, with 22 points.
