Tampa Bay Lightning’s Russian forward Nikita Kucherov became the second contender for the Hart Trophy, the individual award given to a hockey player who made the greatest contribution to the success of his team in the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL). The main contender for the cup after three quarters of the season was Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon.
