The head coach of the Russian national team, Valery Karpin, did not agree with his assistant Nikolai Pisarev, who criticized the players of Moscow Spartak. His words guide the way RIA News.
“As for disruption, that’s too strong a word. At some stages they look better for themselves and at some stages they look worse,” Karpin said.
Pisarev said on Match TV that the players of the capital club Ruslan Litvinov, Alexander Sobolev, Daniil Prutsev and Mikhail Ignatov began to deteriorate.
Karpin was appointed head coach of Spartak in 2009 and a year later led the team to third place in the Russian Premier League (RPL). He left his post after the 2011/12 season but returned at the end of the year. In 2014, the coach and the club stopped collaborating.
Spartak is in sixth place with 31 points. On 10 March, the team lost 0:2 to Fakel in the 20th round of the RPL. The red-whites will face Orenburg in the RPL Path quarter-final second match on March 14. The match will start at 18.00 Moscow time.
