“Spartak” lost dryly to the 11th RPL team

On March 10, Moscow “Spartak” lost 0:2 to Voronezh “Fakel” in the home match of the 20th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

In the 35th minute of the match, referee Artem Lyubimov awarded a penalty kick to Alexander Maksimenko’s goal due to Christopher Martins’ foul on Alshin. The penalty was confidently converted by Evgeniy Markov.

In the middle of the second half, the Voronezh team launched an attack from the left wing, which resulted in an own goal by Danil Prutsev.

The match was played at Luzhniki Stadium. Before the start of the season, it was learned that the red-whites were not ready to host the team’s home matches.

Fakel, who collected 25 points after this match, remains in 11th place in the RPL rankings. Spartak is in sixth place with 31 points.
